Maybe you're not really a Republican

Most of us label ourselves in one way or another. Once we do, it is often difficult to change that label. Of course some of them are unchangeable; however, some of them should be changed when we stop to think about what the label really means.

I run into this with some of my Republican friends who were raised to be Republican and who have never considered whether or not they still believe in the GOP. So let's take a test.
  • Do you love all of God's children regardless of race, creed, color, nationality, gender, or sexual orientation?
  • Do you believe we should care for the sick, the hungry, the poor, the child, the elderly, and the foreigner as we were instructed to do?
  • Do you believe we should worship God above wealth and privilege?
  • Do you believe in the Constitution of the United States and the right of every citizen to vote?
  • Do you  believe in the equal enforcement of the law for every citizen?
  • Do you believe in freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and freedom of the press?
  • Do you believe in the value of work and the dignity of labor?
  • Do you believe the government should be fiscally responsible?
  • Do you believe the government should be accountable to the people they were elected to represent?
  • Do you believe the government should serve the people not the privileged few?
  • Do you believe we should be steward's of the earth and the protect the treasures God has bestowed upon us?
  • Do you believe that it is in the best interest of this country to educate our youth?
  • Do you believe our government and our elections should be free of foreign influence, especially from those who seek to destroy us?
If you answered yes to these questions, then my friend, you are NOT A REPUBLICAN! Perhaps its time to reevaluate what you actually believe and what you are telling others about yourself by the labels you still choose to wear.
